163-165 Chestnut Hill Ave.

BRIGHTON, MA

This residential project on one site was divided into two phases and two buildings. 165 Chestnut Hill Ave was an adaptive reuse of an industrial building from the 1930’s. The design transformed the structure into thirteen loft style condominiums with 20-foot-tall ceilings and unique architectural detail. The cast concrete structure was gutted while maintaining the structural brick walls, exposed beams and original oak floorboards at the interiors.

163 Chestnut Hill Ave on the same lot was a new construction development built of steel and concrete with a limestone, brick and metal panel clad exterior. Comprised of twenty-four 2-BR/2Bath condominium units, this elevator building shared underground parking with the adjacent loft structure
